UPDATE: Since posting this review, no one of Patriot Pacific has bothered addressing the situation. However, they have called me a few weeks ago asking if I could post a review if I had had a good experience. I informed them that no, I did not have a good experience and that my review was already online. Awkward. Now this morning, I receive an email again asking me if I could leave a positive review if I had a good experience. Painfully displays how much they don't care, are impersonal and terrible at communicating. Below is the original review. What I thought was going to be an easy loan process, turned into a rough situation of pulling teeth, with terrible communication and a general lack of urgency or concern. It left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. We were already pre-approved through Patriot Pacific. Our loan was a conventional loan for a pretty low amount (<200k) where even the appraisal got waived by PennyMac. Our escrow was supposed to be 30 days. What could possibly go wrong? Well, turns out, a lot apparently. The first day we opened escrow, they asked for all of our documents which we provided immediately. They were aware of my fiancé being stationed overseas and that we were aiming to close early or at least on time. For some reason, they waited very long to contact the condo HOA and I had to send them a check in order for them to provide certain documents, which took up even more time. Then, turns out that one of those HOA documents had expired, which they did not catch when they received them but only the next week. So now even more time was being wasted. At this stage, we were not looking at an early or even on-time close. They also could not get loan documents to escrow in time, ultimately completely setting us up for failure. We had to do an extension because of this, right before Thanksgiving, adding a lot of stress. During this entire process, communication on their behalf was almost non-existent. We only got emails when they requested something. But whenever we would ask for a status update or a timeline, they would just respond with general lines like "We are waiting on HOA/Pennymac". Not once did they offer an apology for their mistakes and lack of communication or lack of sense of responsibility. My realtor tried to call them multiple times and left voicemails every time that were never returned. When I tried calling the people working on my file, I also only got voicemails. When I told them about this via email, they ignored this, did not apologize and again said they were "working on the file". If your office/staff is swamped, do not accept any more loans. It's as simple as that. Your quality in service goes down the drain if you can't even offer a simple timeline or decent communication. Plus, you start ignoring details, which ends up in having to redo work and clients having to extend closing dates. We really felt that no one gave a single f*ck about us in this office and I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.
Patriot Pacific was a great entity to work with. they took care of me along the way, I never felt un-informed or lost in the process. they kept me fully informed they kept me informed all the way through. Armando Was great. I was always able to get through and have any question answered. I would most definitely recommend. to friend sand family.
